What are the most important things for friends to have in common?

Numerous elements can influence whether or not your friend becomes your best friend. Of course, there must be mutual affection and understanding, but there are some characteristics that your best friends and you should have in common. It could be anything, your choices, your likes and dislikes, and other interests.

Finding that one person who completely understands you and ticks all of your boxes is a difficult task. Because your friend understands you and stands by you always, you have at least one true BFF in life. But it is not that easy. The bond you and your best friend forever share is cemented on standard behavior and mutuality. That title isn't something you can easily give away. It's for the individual who shares all of these characteristics with you, if not the majority. Take a look-

1. Sense of adventure

Your best friend is like, who should not say no to any of your proposed trips. You'll need that same feeling of adventure since you'll constantly want someone to say "yes" when you offer an impromptu trip. They're up for whatever exciting activity you've got planned, and vice versa. So you both should have the same taste or sense as traveling, or any adventurous tour is concerned.

2. Trust

What exactly does it mean to be trustworthy? Is it simply sharing secrets with pals that you're worried about and believing that he/she will not disclose it to anyone. It's critical to discuss and define terms like loyalty, infidelity, faithfulness, trust, and others because limits can be violated without realizing it. Each person in friendship has to agree on the boundary, and the kind of behavior pushes you out of the limits.

3. Mutual enthusiasm for each other

You and your BFF may not be on the same job path, but you share a mutual enthusiasm for each other's aims and dreams. You're essentially each other's biggest supporters. You encourage each other to reach for the stars at every turn, yet it never feels one-sided.

4. Quality of accepting each other

You're undoubtedly at ease around your closest buddies since you can be yourself with them; with others, you could put on a show or feel uneasy. Friends should accept each other as they are but will never be afraid to tell the unpleasant truth about a circumstance or each other's conduct. They're the mirror that brings your life back into focus after you've lost it.

5. Nature of giving and taking

It's crucial in any relationship to strike a balance of giving and taking. "Good connections include reciprocity. Sometimes it's you who carries the ball, and other times it's your friend." This partnership will go over if one side does all the gifting. In this world, there are takers and givers. It's OK if one friend gives a lot more than the other, as long as the other party reciprocates at some point." How good of a friend is that person if you are only giving and they are only taking?"

Conclusion

So, these are some common things you should look for in a friend. Until and unless there is mutuality, you cant build a great friendship. Trust each other, support each other, give and take from each other and be the best buddy.
